15 Day - Limpopo and Northern Kruger Park

This exciting two week game and birding tour has a huge bird list which includes special species such as Short-clawed Lark, Pel's Fishing Owl, African Finfoot and Narina Trogon. It covers the best of South Africa’s northern wildlife areas including Lake Shiluvari, the Kruger National Park and Nylsvlei and is off the main tourist routes.

The expected weather conditions are warm to hot, thunderstorms possible in the afternoons.The tour takes a medium tempo with optional mid-day breaks (advisable considering the heat) and there is no serious walking. Accommodation is at lodges, guest houses and National Park’s rest-camps.

You will experience excellent savannah, arid-savannah and forest birding. The northern Kruger Park offers some of the best birding in South Africa and at Nylsvlei you will see a top selection of wetland birds. Game viewing is good to excellent, especially in the Kruger Park. The tour will also include attractions like the Soutpansberg Mountains, the Limpopo and Levhuvu Rivers, Nylsvlei RAMSAR an IBA site.
