8 Day - Trans-Lesotho Tour

8 Day - Trans-Lesotho Tour traverses the small Southern African country of Lesotho from east to west.

All tours are self drive, self catering, self camp. However, should a client wish, we do have an alternative route and staying exclusively in lodges, where meals are available, or in self catering accomodation.

Starting at Sani Pass, exiting at Tele Bridge and ending at McClear in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. The tour includes Mokhotlong, Katse Dam, Katse Village, Marakabie and Maletsuyane falls.

We will meet at Sani border post, driving up Sani Pass, to Mokhotlong and on to Koma Koma causeway on the Senqu river. This is a ‘Wild Camp’ no facilities whatsoever.

Day 2 to Katse Dam where we will enjoy a tour of the Dam wall and a talk on the Highlands water scheme and what it has done for Lesotho. We then move on to Katse Village and do a tour of The Katse indigenous botanical gardens. Camp at Katse. Facilities available.

We then move on to Marakabie to overnight. Next day Marakabie to Semongkong to overnight. After viewing the Maletsuyane falls, highest in Southern Africa, drive to Malealea to overnight. Malealea to Rhodes for 2 nights and visit Tiffindell ski resort.

Final day over Naude’s Nek Pass, highest pass in R.S.A, and home. There is alternate lodge accommodation at all night stops except for Senqu River.
